A "ducky" is a self-guided inflatable kayak for 1 or 2 people, an adventurous alternative for those
with previous rafting experience or first-time extremists!
We offer ducky tours on the West Glacial
and Blanda Rivers, either as a private trip or accompanying one of our rafting trips. Our ducky trips
are run identically to our rafting trips, but with greater emphasis on paddling and steering instruction
before you hit the river. The greatest challenge in a ducky is that you are your own guide! Although
alone in your craft, our river guides will accompany you from kayaks and lead the way downriver, but
the rest is up to you!
Beautiful gorge ride with friendly waves and friendly holes, depending on water level, waves up to 1 meter high.
After paddling half way the river joins with the East Glacial River and becomes Héraðsvötn river. There, you
can swim in the river and enjoy the Icelandic glacial water if you want to!

Group Size
Minimum 4-6 and up to about 16 participants.
Suitable for persons 14 years and older, if children are accompanied by their
parents also younger.
